The toughest and fastest from all corners of the province eagerly proved their rodeo skills and talents much like the pros seen at the CFR, however these athletes are all still in high school.

Cowboys and cowgirls in twelve different rodeo events filled the Ponoka Stampede grounds June 13, 14, and 15. The Alberta High School Rodeo Finals hosted the top ten competitors from each of the three divisions in the province.  With a pep talk from CPRA Bull Rider Tanner Girletz to kick start the weekend, over a thousands runs and rides took place while hundreds of parents and family members watched.

Amberley Snyder spoke to the hundreds of the high school rodeoers at the Alberta High School Rodeo Finals.

Along with the finals rodeo there was also a banquet and cowboy prom for the 2014 graduates. In attendance at the cowboy prom was motivational speaker Amberley Snyder from Utah. In 2010 the cowgirl was in a car accident that claimed the use of the bottom half of her body. With determination and incredible perseverance Snyder has overcome obstacle after obstacle and now college rodeos as well is a motivational speaker across North America.
