Top Canadians at AQHA Worlds

The following are results for Canadian exhibitors, owners and breeders at the FedEx Open AQHA World Championship Show, part of the World Championships which ran from November 6th to 20th in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

HUNTER UNDER SADDLE

One of the most exciting wins went to Blended Chocolate (Sweet Talkin Chip x Kinda Showy), a 2005 chesnut gelding, who won the Junior Hunter Under Saddle World Championship.  Stacey Lane Huls of Phoenix, Arizona showed the gelding to the win.  Blended Chocolate is owned by Karen Lobb of Edmonton, Alberta.  The gelding bested 26 other entries to win over $15,000 in prize money.

Canadians overall were well represented in the Junior Hunter Under Saddle class.  Besides the winner, there were three other Canadian Top 15 finishes. IE Reason (Iron Enterprise x Imperial Reason 94), a bay stallion owned by Sarah Nimigan of Hamilton, Ontario, placed 8th.  Hunt Coats Required (Coats N Tails x Lukelele) placed 9th.  The brown stallion is owned by Barry Falkenham of Italy Cross, Nova Scotia.  Dressed The Best (Coats N Tails x Lil Miss Smokey) placed 11th, shown by Alyse Roberts of Dresden, Ontario.

WESTERN RIDING

In Junior Western Riding, In Prinzziples Image (Prinzziple x Zippos Sabrina) placed 13th.  The gelding was shown by John Briggs of Pilot Point, Texas, and is owned by Nancy Sprague of Millet, Alberta.

TRAIL

Junior Trail class saw Makes Good Cents (Zippos Mr Good Bar x Miss T Bill) place 7th.  The chesnut gelding is owned by Marilyn Lindenschmidt of St. Andrews, Manitoba.  Wicked Krymsun (One Hot Krymsun x D D Maria), owned by Brenda Gower of Lloydminster, Alberta, placed 9th.

WORKING HUNTER AND HUNTER HACK

The Canadian bred gelding Dee Lucks Detail (Last Detail x Lucks N Lace) was in the Top 15 in two classes. Ridden by Tyson Furlong of Mexico, New York, Dee Lucks Detail placed 11th in Senior Working Hunter and 12th in Senior Hunter Hack.  The bay gelding was bred by Krista Downey of Lower Queensbury, New Brunswick.

HALTER

Hubba Hubba Huntin (Huntin for Chocolate x Hubba Huba Hotrod) placed 5th in Performance Halter Stallions.  The bay stallion was shown by Charlie Cole of Pilot Point, Texas, and is owned by Breanne Porter of Okotoks, Alberta.

DRIVING

Lukes Like Lark (Luke At Me x Larks Tabatha) came in 7th place in the Junior Pleasure Driving Class.  The gelding is owned by Robin Morrison of High River, Alberta.

CUTTING

A Canadian bred horse placed 8th in the Senior Cutting, the sorrel gelding Very Stylish Indeed (Docs Stylish Oak x Tuckered Playgirl).  He was bred by J.Dale Stewart of Aldergrove, British Columbia.
