PRODUCT PANEL    Hoffman's Horse Minerals

Canadian panelists have tested Hoffman's Horse Minerals. The results are in and here are their thoughts.

Deborah Johnson - Deborah has been breeding, training and showing champion Quarter Horses for over 30 years. She is a judge and clinician and has had much success over the years, producing AQHA champions, qualifiers, Superior halter and event horses and provincial champions as well as winning many prestigious futurities. Diversifying her Quarter Horse operation, Johnson began a Paint Horse breeding program in 2000.

DEBORAH'S COMMENTS:
"I started using Hoffman's minerals on "Cookie," a yearling Paint mare that I was preparing for the show ring. After about three weeks, I noticed her coat had become softer, and shinier. Her hooves were in better condition after about six weeks on it. Once she started eating and accepting it, her appetite really picked up. I guess the ultimate positive result, and finest compliment to her condition, was her sale to Pam Switzer, of JS Quarter Horses. Pam and Trisha Jolivette, have had their herd on Hoffman's for some time, and swear by it also."

DEBORAH'S RECOMMENDATION:
"Start with a small amount and mix it in wet food, as it can be powdery, and dusty, and filter to the bottom of the bucket. Once the horses get used to the smell of it, they will eat it readily. I liked what I saw in "Cookie" so much, that after three weeks, I bought a couple more bags and started all 16 of my horses – including babies – on it. They are all doing well. I will continue to use Hoffman's Minerals in my program. "

Michelle Boake
- Michelle has been riding for 29 years and is in the process of training for reined cow horse competition. She has raised Chase, now a four-year-old Quarter Horse gelding, since he was a foal.

MICHELLE'S COMMENTS:
"My horse did not readily eat the Hoffman Horse Minerals that I used as a top dressing grain. However, I eventually noticed that he was gaining weight and a thicker, winter coat. These changes occurred within three weeks of feeding the minerals."

MICHELLE'S RECOMMENDATION:
"I am definitely satisfied with the results and I'll continue to use Hoffman's Horse Minerals."

Kristine Semenyk - Kristine has owned her 14-year-old appendix Quarter Horse mare since she was a foal. The older mare has constantly struggled with weight gain, forcing Kristine to search for a product that could keep the horse in an ideal body condition. Soon after finding a sufficient supplement in Ontario, Kristine moved to Alberta where she was unable to purchase the same product, and to make matters worse, the long trek across the country caused the mare to lose much of her condition.

KRISTINE'S COMMENTS:
"I fed Hoffman's Minerals as a top dressing for my horse's grain rations, twice a day. I felt this was the most convenient way for them to receive the appropriate amount as they are turned out in a large group during the day. I noticed that all of my mares' coats started to shine almost immediately. My older broodmare who normally has a very rough looking coat in winter is even shining. I also noticed that my mares all started to gain weight. It took approximately two weeks to really see all the changes. Their appetites have increased and they are readily looking forward to eating their meals. Their coats are healthy and shining and they even have more pleasant attitudes."

KRISTINE'S RECOMMENDATION:
"I am very satisfied with the results of the Hoffman's Horse Minerals. Since I moved my mares out to this province, it has been very hard for me to find a product to help my older broodmare put weight on. Since using Hoffman's Horse Minerals her weight has risen dramatically. Many people in the barn where my horses are have commented on how well she looks."
