The Cow Palace in Olds, Alberta brought out top cutters from across the western part of the country to compete for a total of $55,000. The Canadian Cutting Horse Association finals April 13- 15, awarded Becker Buckles for first place, second place winners received framed artwork by Alberta artist Paige Albrecht, coolers were awarded for third place, fourth place winners took home arena bags, and splint boots were handed out for riders in fifth place.
$10,000 Novice Horse Champion, Brother Bro, ridden by Dustin Gonnet of Cayley, AB, and owned by Lynn Harder of Standard, AB.
$3,000 Novice Horse Champion, Clays Little CD, ridden by Gerry Hansma and owned by Welland Muri of Madden, AB.
