Gate Woes

Have you ever had a foal that just didn\’t want to go through the gate? Our barn manager and friend, David, knows all about it.

You know – Mamma will go through no problem. But baby just isn\’t sure about it…

Or perhaps baby just wants to inspect the electric fence unit.

You know, make sure everything is in order…

Like the outdoor arena for instance…

Yep. Some days, baby just feels the need to inspect the arena footing.

And meanwhile, poor David and the mare wait inside the pasture for the foal to find its way in. Which couldn\’t be further from the foal\’s priorities at the moment. They wait, bewildered inside the fence line while the foal seems to be saying, \”Hey Mum! It\’s great out here! You should join me!!\”

Poor David.

So, David and the mare make their way back out of the pasture in an attempt to hook up with the foal.

Which seems to do the trick.

Until the foal decides to miss the gate a second time.
