Blustery Bliss

I cannot believe what I woke up to this morning! I\’m sure our farm has received more than 6 inches of snow since last night. And since I am usually long gone to the south by this time of the year, this is the first time in over 2 years that I have personally experienced snow like this.

And I gotta say – I was pretty excited as morning broke and my eyes first caught a glimpse of it.

I felt like a kid on Christmas morning. In Canada. With snowy expectations that were answered.

Of course, I have no idea if the colts echoed my sentiments.

But something tells me that as long as they have straw in their shelters, thawed auto-waterers and Frisky Foal in their buckets each morning, they\’ll be just fine.

But I do have one request on this snowy, blustery day: Dear Carharrt, you are the makers of some of the greatest outdoor, farm overalls. But why don\’t you have a maternity section?
