Unique to Stony Plain, Spruce Grove and Parkland County is the Remunda Horsemanship Program. Created by the Tri-Municipal Drug Strategy Team, this youth program which promotes the development of positive social skills through horses.
Equine therapy programs for youth at risk, have been known to provide an outlet for the lives of struggling teenagers. Horses are powerful teaching tools and provide confidence and clarity for children in need of a genuine direction in life.
