June went by in a blur. Maybe it has something to do with the beautiful weather we\’re (finally) starting to experience, or the numerous appointments on our June calendar but whatever it was, I can\’t believe we were celebrating Canada Day yesterday!
At the very beginning of June, we found ourselves leaving on a jet plane. To come home. Nonetheless, the great people at West Jet took the time to bring our twins up to the flight deck and show them around. Plus the kidlets got some great stickers! If my kids were nervous about the airplane ride at all, they quickly forgot all about it with the chance to meet a real-life pilot. Way to go West Jet – you guys really are an awesome airline!
I also had the opportunity to do an interview of a lifetime recently. Of course, I can\’t disclose anything right now but I will say – be sure to catch the September / October issue of Western Horse Review! This is one not to be missed!
With all the sunny days June presented us with, there certainly were a few ominous looking skies as well. Thankfully no major damage at our place but I\’ve experienced enough tornado warnings to last the year.
The middle of June placed me in a ladies only weekend in Osooyoos, BC. A few wineries were visited (which I\’ll write about, I promise!) And we left the place, pretty much intact.
The last of our foals and client foals were born in June, including this adorable half-Arabian colt belonging to our friends, Gord and Sandy Hester. With breeding season coming to a close however, my kids were pretty happy to have Whiz N Starlight (\”Bob\”) back to themselves.
June also offered us a plethora of kittens and an opportunity for the barn to take in a trail ride at Webster Ranch!
If you have a moment, drop me a comment and let me know how June was for you!
