Ranch Country Sale Results

The 2014 Ranch Country Horse Sale, the 10th annual, was a cool but fun day. Held September 13th in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, the preview ran at 9:30 a.m. with the sale starting at 1:00 p.m. Fifty-six horses sold.

The high selling weanling was a bay Quarter Horse stallion owned by Roger and Lou Parsonage. He was by Chex My Magic and out of the dam Frosty Royal Girl, by Hesa Texan Royal. This sharp colt sold for $3,200 to Amos Abrahamson of Diamond J Horse Training.
The runner up high selling weanling was a bay roan Paint Horse stallion by Sonoitas Playgun and out of the Paint Horse mare, Red Woman. He was owned by Jess and Tanya Parsonage and sold to Kaitlyn Keslick of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, for $2,600.

Amos Abrahamson sold the high selling saddle horse, a three-year-old grandson of Playgun and Pepinics Master, MTR Billysgotagun. This big, good looking colt sold to Dale Weiss of Elkwater, Alberta for $7,500.
Jess and Tanya Parsonage sold the runner up high selling saddle horse, a four-year-old bay roan Quarter Horse mare, by Sonoitas Playgun and out of Red Woman. She sold to Elkwater Colony for $7,250. The weanlings averaged $830, and the top five saddle horses average $6,770.
