MAPLE CREEK!!!! Maple Creek has a rich history of ranching, rodeo and amazing ranch horse production. True west out there, miles and miles of pasture and no neighbours for miles….takes you back 100 years.
Sorry Ponoka…you are in Alberta and you do have that.amazing.arena….but gotta go with Maple Creek! 🙂

  2. Maple Creek, Saskatchewan – miss the good ol’ cowtown – forever near and dear to my heart!!

  3. The Duke Girling of Dunmore

Maple Creek is cowboy country, Ponoka is rodeo country, Maple Creek is my vote.

  4. This vote is a tough one on one hand you got 5 fingers and on the other….. Guess ill vote maple creek

  5. S.W. Sask. Oldtimers' Museum

The first shipment of cattle from western Canada came from Maple Creek in the early 1880’s. Maple Creek is therefore definitely the Old Cowtown and our vote for Canada’s Greatest Western Town!

  6. Ponoka, centrally located with sooo much love for all equestrian sports. GO PONOKA, ALBERTA

  7. I’ve been to Ponoka, I’ve been to Maple Creek. Maple Creek is without a doubt Canada’s Greatest Western Town.

  8. PONOKA ALL THE WAY! Great town, great people, even sexier cowboys!! NOT TO MENTION THEY HOST THE BEST STAMPEDE IN CANADA!! Yea Haw! How is this even a contest?!?!

  9. Sorry my typing is very bad! That previous comment

Having spent lots of time in Maple Creek, hands down it is one of the most Western friendly towns I know!! 🙂 Maple Creek for sure!! 🙂

  11. Ponoka most definitely! There’s even a poster about the Ponoka Stampede hanging in a bar in Australia!!

  12. Maple Creek is not only the best cow town in Canada but the world! And yes, I have traveled to all of our 7 continents. Cowboys of all sorts, from the pampas of Argentina to the large ranches in Hawaii, I found them to be friendly, cheerful and helpful. YEAH, MAPLE CREEK IS THE TOWN….

  13. Maple Creek! Maple Creek!! Maple Creek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. Maple Creek, SK. Awesome. It’s nestled near the BEAUTIFUL Cyprus Hills – couldn’t ask for a nicer little western town. OH, and everyone should go to Cyprus Hills Provincial Park for a vacation – it’s beautiful there.

MAPLE CREEK is my vote! 🙂

  15. Maple Creek! Beautiful, wonderfully friendly town in the best part of Western Canada. Yep – Maple Creek.

Ponoka! There is no question, Ponoka is the home of many talented and dedicated people, living through the western sole of their home town! My heart is forever with Ponoka!

  17. Maple Creek! Maple Creek is the quintessential western town. Set in the rolling hills near Cypress Hills it is pure and simple, cattle country. People eat, breathe and sleep horses and cattle. The longest continuous running rodeo in Saskatchewan, Murraydale is but one of the rodeos in the vicinity.
